The creation of a Regional Center for Sustainable Agriculture was discussed in Central Asia

Representatives from Central Asian countries and Germany discussed the creation of a Regional Center for Sustainable Agriculture. The concept of the center was developed by the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center in cooperation with the Kazakhstan-German Agricultural Policy Dialogue.

The initiative aims to improve the efficiency of the agricultural sector, taking into account regional climate conditions and the challenges posed by climate change. Key objectives of the center include the transfer of knowledge and technologies, the advancement of agricultural science, professional training, and the promotion of sustainable farming practices. Practical activities of the center are planned at an institute in the Almaty Region.

The initiative was presented within the framework of the GFFA and the international Green Week exhibition, where Kazakhstan showcased its export potential, opportunities in agri-processing, organic farming, and the adoption of modern agrotechnologies.
